This spring, Carrier is offering consumers an incentive to purchase and install a new heating and cooling system in their home—the better the system, the bigger the rebate. On qualifying products, consumers can receive up to a $1,200 rebate on a Carrier system when purchase includes an Infinity Air Purifier. Additional rebates may also be available on Carrier generators and other heating and cooling accessories. Plus, special financing is also available.

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed a stimulus bill ((The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) that gives home owners very large tax credits for upgrading their homes and reducing their energy bills by installing high efficiency equipment. 

• The tax credits will cover 30% of the total installation, up to $1500, for qualifying high efficiency furnaces, air conditioning systems, and water heaters. 
• The tax credits will cover 30% of the total installation (with no cap!) for installing solar water heating systems or geothermal heat pumps.
  
  *Note – geothermal heat pumps use the earth’s energy by absorbing heat from piping laid into holes dug in the ground to produce heating and cooling systems that are 30-50% more efficient than a 13 SEER high efficiency air conditioner and a 90+% AFUE high efficiency furnace.
