The Time to Schedule an AC Tune-Up Is Now

Do you know what shape yours is in? If your answer is “no,” or you haven’t even thought about it recently, now is the time to schedule a maintenance tune-up.

There are a few maintenance tasks you can complete on your own. This includes changing your air filter every 1–3 months. Many people believe that the air filter is in place to protect their indoor air quality, but it’s actually there to protect the inside components of your HVAC systems from dirt and debris that can negatively affect airflow. Another maintenance task you can do on your own is ensuring that the outdoor unit is clear of debris, for the same reason.

But if you want to help your air conditioner perform at its best, and prevent repairs in the meantime, you need to schedule maintenance tune-ups once a year (or twice a year, if you use a heat pump!)
